Afternoon all,
Hope you're all keeping well!
I'm glad this section was created because this can allow us to create a list that we can use to ensure that our Bug out Bags, although they will differ from individual to individual to an extent, do have a basic solid necessity of kit that we will ALL need.
Each prepper will have certain pieces of kit suited to them and what they bring to the table through either a specialised trade or generally what they may enjoy doing as hobby that no other prepper does. IE as a Butcher, my knives, saw and my joint tying string - those sorts of things unlikely to be found common among preppers because not every prepper is a butcher. Another example may be someone who works with wood, may bring a few carving tools.
However the purpose of this list is to try and standardize as much Bug out Kit as possible. This can help with giving the group direction as to what we should be expecting going forward.
I'll categorize pieces for easier reading, this is a group effort and this thread will be entirely adaptable and updated as we go. After a few discussions with Admin, I realised this may well be a great benefit for us as me and the Admin kept running into problems due to the absence of certain equipment.
I'll get the ball rolling with the categories and from then on we can throw in what we think SHOULD no matter what, be included in our Bug out Bags.
Feel free too discuss alternatives and as to why you choose those pieces of kit.
*Your Bug out Bag, Size?
*Food & Water
*Shelter
*Fire Starting Kit
*First Aid, Medicines & General Health
*Tools & Gadgets
*Clothing
*Miscellaneous
To Clarify - It'a not expected everyone to be buying the exact same products, same brand, same colours - that's silly. Generally the idea is to go along the lines of - We need a canteen for water. So if you have a DPM canteen, an olive or black Canteen, small, Large or whichever then that's good. As long as you have a Canteen and the group has decided that it's a basic standard, and YES to having one, that's the idea.
As an extra.
*Prepper Talk and Abbreviations
BoB - Bug out Bag
BoL - Bug out Location
SHTF - Shit hit the Fan
RV - Rendezvous
RVP - Rendezvous Point
Hope you're all keeping well!
