Good Video Saeward and I only spotted one mistake with his tiling. Funny enough, Oathsworn and I were passing some time chatting about something not a million miles from the subject of the video on FB last night.
Basic mistake, first two rows of tiles are placed one on top of each other and 'half bonded' usually, then from there onwards it's as he has done it. That's why when you look at a gable-end there is a kick-up from the first two rows with the tiles flattening out thereafter. Also, did you notice his choice of clay ? Spot on mate. The lighter clay has a higher content of something which makes it better at receiving heat during firing. It was something I considered as a lining for my coal forge.
