I've just got some new bits for my bag and I thought it would be a good time to do a gear post. That's the bag with everything packed away. 2 pairs of combat trousers 1 pair of lightweights. 1 hooded smock. 1 rip stop smock. 1 shirt. A tent. A roll mat and a sleeping bag. Fire starting kit. Cooking and eating Wash bag. First aid and torch. Duck tape. Electrical tape. Telescope and the Wight box is toilet paper. And finally a smk snap barrel air riffle with a bsa scope. 1 axe. 1 machete. 2 Anglo arms nomads. And a multi tool pen knife that goes everywhere with me. I feel naked without it. Thanks to my dad (Brian) for helping me get the gear photoed. Chris

Be aware, those straps you've used to hang bits off of won't last like that.
I did a 20 mile or so walk with just a first aid kit hanging off a strap like that on my Mil-Tec backpack and it broke by the end. If you're running out of space when you're packing I'd much rather make do with a tarp and bivvy bag than have to lug a tent miles and miles, especially if its hanging like that and hitting your legs every time you do something.

Good point there Saeward, as it happens we have had some serious kit suspension thoughts over the weekend. We just realised that personal kit is just that, personal, and oft' times there are no ready-made bags that ideally fit the pack system you go for. With that said, Chris is going for the NI day-pack/USA Allice type field pack hybrid like my pack, I ordered it for him only yesterday via my Amazon 1-click. Seeing as those packs have loads of Molle fixing places we also bought 3 Metre x 1.65 metre of heavy duty nylon 95 DPM to make personal kit specific compression bags, suspension bags and additional pouches to take more gear and break up the slab of olive colour that is the pack. Need to make bags for our cooking pot sets (2 number), bed rolls (3 number), sleeping bags (3 number)and the bags for tents. Gods, glad I bought Kal a new heavy duty-ish sewing machine lol
