I’m going to use this thread to update with the progress of the Wulfcynn Stead. We use and plan to use this site for a number of different persuits. Such as carrying out rites, an allotment, animal grazing, archery practice, gun practice, fishing. Heres a few pictures of the site and us putting in the posts for the allotment fence.

That plot looks well off the beaten track ? Is that lake fishable or is it a no-no (until an owner ain't looking lol) Congratulations, this is a very positive way forward and, as mentioned in a previous post, your intention to grow in area is a wonderful aspect of forward thinking and preparedness. Basic rule of thumb, an acre is enough land for stock animals, crops for 2 people's yearly needs with the Norfolk rotation method. Massive thumbs up brother and frith yo your Wilfcynn.

Bri It’s well off the beaten track yes mate, though nearly everything is round here . The lake is fishable and a plan to begin stocking it is in it’s infancy. We have recently built a jetty on it from the raw lumber left over from tree clearance. We’re going to start building our hall down there soon, which Im really looking forward to. Most recent Update to the self sufficiency aim is the addition of 4 Cornish Game fowl, for the 'table bird' part of the project.

There a bunch of cunts Oathsworn ! They keep roosting in the conifers instead if their coop. Last night the were so far up an in ti the trees that i just had to leave them and hope for the best. Which I don't like doing as I can here 3 foxes round here most nights. I'm hoping Archies scent is keeping them away, and if that doesn't work, Archie might have to put them away

Haha! That's the chicken way, if you take away the trees they'll naturally flock to shelter. But chickens are naturally tree sleepers, it's also how they sort out their hierarchical system. the more important chickens at the top branches, and going down to the least important.
Foxes are a definite worry, you can always go the ol' Cumbrian way and hang a dead one from the fence. That'll keep them away

Well the cock was roosted lowest, soft cunt lol. Not sure what the Mrs would make of a rotting corpse hanging around... Though she might not see it for a while lol

LOL! if push comes to shove, a night stake out would have to be done to deal with that Fox, sadly.

Unfortunately there are quite a few Foxes round here, and the Island if Ireland actually has a Fox problem in that there are far too many Foxes fir their food supply, apparently. Ol' Raynard will meet Archie if he comes sniffing round this yard.
